Forty four years before Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood saw the light of day, James Karageorge took this Mister Rogersโ€™ Neighborhood photo in 1968.

That same year, Fred Rogers also premiered his show on it’s very first U.S. network.

Seen in the photo are: Fred Rogers, Greg King (Lighting) Michael Keaton (Stagehand), Nick Tallo (grip), Jimmy Seech (floor manager), Kate Kearney (Executive Producer) & Sandy.

Who knew Batman (aka Michale Keaton) was a stagehand on Fred Rogers?

Fact checkers: How did I do here?!

Who is James Karageorge? Trying to find more about this photo so we can use it on a show. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Cool flashback! I think I heard that once…if a random person on the Internet counts as fact checking ๐Ÿ™‚

While on the “neighborhood” subject, my two year old twins have all the Daniel songs memorized. Please tell me there is another season coming soon!? ๐Ÿ™‚

    • You mean not everything on line is fact checked?! Very funny!

New Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood episodes in the cooker as we speak. So happy we have a fan in your house!

The girls will be happy to hear it!

FYI…the “I like you, I like you, I like you just the way you are” episode (ESPECIALLY the “It’s you I like” song, which I sing to the twins constantly) is the family favorite. I’m the guy who tears up when it comes on because it sums up pretty much everything I want them to know (and remember when they start school!)

And…as a kid who grew up on Mr. Rogers, Daniel Tiger has been a great way for me to connect back to those early days with the little ones. (Thank you also for making Lady Elaine not so freaky…that puppet scared the pants off of me growing up)

Thanks for doing what you do! While I don’t plunk my kids down in front of the TV for hours at a time, I know that when they do get some tube time, I can program the DVR to record your shows without worrying about what I’m going to have to explain to them later on.
